DIMITRI NEGRIMOVSKI        

 

Pianist - Composer

Born in Rostov-on-Don in Russia, he was educated in this city.

 

Gold medal in music composition and piano.

 

He worked for seven years for the Youth Theater in Rostov, where he composed a dozen works (rock opera, musical) which were then played in Japan, Mexico, Germany and France. He also composed the Sentimental Walk, Butterfly and wrote arrangements of Russian songs for the Choir of the University of Maine.

 

 

          In August 1997, he returned for two years in Rostov on Don, where he composed five musicals, including three for children, two film scores for TV (one of these films has also received the "TEFI" which is the equivalent of the Emmy Award) and a composition for a television series (TEFI candidate in 2000). He is back in France since September 1999.

 

 

 

He is currently Professor of Piano in the Music School of Arnage (France), and is the pianist of the Choir of the University of Maine.
